School Meal Information
Children have the right to good quality health care, to clean water and good food (Article 24 UN Rights of the Child Convention)
Bryn Deri is pleased to be able to offer all our children a choice of hot school meals in our bespoke ‘Kitchen Pod’ which was opened in March 2017. Meals are provided by Cardiff County Council Catering Services and cooked daily on site by our Cook in Charge. The ‘Kitchen Pod’ facility provides an extremely well equipped kitchen and dining area to seat approximately 100 pupils per sitting. The school operates a successful online meal selection system to allow parents to select their child’s meals at least one week in advance and a cashless payment system (ParentPay). Parents are also able to provide a healthy packed lunch for pupils should they wish to do so.
