I chose to write about peace with my family and friends.

I made up with my brother after we had a little fight, let’s just say no bones were broken I then said let’s make a peace treaty and he luckily agreed.

In year 4 I had a little silly argument with Louie and Jacob turns out Elen wasn’t helping very much but we made peace.

I wonce was with in volved in a argument between Grace and Megan they are best friends so I couldn’t believe it but luckily they made peace or that would of carried on for agers I’m happy I was able to make peace between them.

    1. Mr Eldridge

      I’m glad you’re honest Max.

Take a look at the last paragraph, could you copy and paste it but place some punctuation into the paragraph please.

    The BFG
    and the Pizzalover
One night when the BFG came back to giant country from collecting dreams one of his dream jars that was in his pocket fell out and came loose but the jar landed on the pizzalover. The pizzalover was very dangerous , fast and also the tallest giant of the group. He was the one giant who ate people from Italy and he said they tasted like pizza.
As soon as the jar landed on the Pizzalover he had the worst dream ever about Italy magically disappearing and a Pizzamonster came up behind him and chased the pizzalover giant. When he woke up he charged at the BFG as fast as possible. After the Pizzalover got closer ,the BFG locked himself in his cave and started to make a dream to make the Pizzalover a bit less angry.
When the BFG knew it was safe to go out he grabbed the good dream and gave the dream jar to the Pizzalover and the Pizzalover fell asleep straight away and had a dream that Italians were falling from the sky but when he woke up he found that he was licking the Fleshlumpeater…

    1. Mr Eldridge

I like your creativity to take the BFG story and link it to a pizzalover 🙂 Take a read over your work, read it out loud. When you pause/take a breath think about whether a , or . can be placed in.

I have an older sister who is 3 years older than me, she is nearly 13 she is getting to be a moody teenager !!!!!!!! It doesn’t just affect me it affects the whole family when we argue ,so I want to make peace. I will make peace with her by saying I don’t want to argue with her and say sorry even if it is not all my fault so then hopefully nobody gets told of and none of the family will get affected by us arguing all the time. So then we will all be happy and no more arguing.

    1. Mr Eldridge

I like how honest you are in the first sentence 🙂

Have you made peace with her yet?

Take a look at this long sentence, could it be punctuated?

    WEEK 2. 22nd September 2016 100 Word Challenge.

There I was in World War 2 between America and Great Britain, I am Bear Grills I am the head of the royal Air Force. We flew to a little Island and we find a plane gas station. I say times ticking men we need to find another gas station split you selves 50,000 come with me and the other 50,000 stay here. Then let’s meet in Jamaica, lets go. When we all went to another gas station we bumped into Australia, luckily we were friends with them so we had a little chat. I said to the head of the Australia Air Force, so are you going to war? he said yah we are going to battle Jamaica, hey what a coincidence we are going there as well lets team up and battle together yah but my team is very skilled try to keep up! I think it’s the other way round really yah! Let’s meet in Kingston ok. So the very next day me and my team went to Kingston and met, then we went to war.”CHARGE”….. a few months later the Jamaicans surrendered and we all came friend and we all apologised for wat we did.

    1. Mr Eldridge

Isn’t it lucky peace was made in the end of WW2. Have a read back through your paragraph. Could you amend the punctuation? Could there be speach marks in there when someone is talking?

    Cheetah crisis

I am lucky to have come back from an amazing holiday but I feel something has happened that needs to change in Africa, many baby cheetah cubs are living on the edge.

This has happened as poachers are selling them for lots of money to careless and irresponsible people of the world many living in nearby countries such as the U.A.E.

If things carry on like this in future the precious cheetahs will be extinct from our planet so please join me in making peace with the poachers and making them aware of the crisis they are creating.

    1. Mr Eldridge

A well thought of topic, and one that many people do need to be aware of. Something needs to be done to help all animals that are becoming extinct through poaching.

Well written 100wc, you’ve punctuated and paragraphed. You have missed some words out in some of the sentences, just make sure you read over your work so that you can correct your mistakes.

    My World Peace Homework

    World Peace Day

On the Newsround website, I read about a girl called Nujeen who had to escape Syria because of the bombings. Nujeen had to make her way through Europe to Germany where she found her brother. I thought of all the fights I had been in with my brothers and I thought “what if that was me?”
I am lucky because I have a shelter over my head, food, family and a school to go to, when other children like Nujeen don’t. I now realise how lucky I am. On World Peace day, I wish all of those children have the same opportunities as me.

    1. Mr Eldridge

Waw Elen! Very upsetting. It is nice that you are starting to appreciate what you have, where you could be in this world, and what you could be without.

      A very well written 100wc!

Here is my week one homework,

    Breaking news
    World famous giant peach
    has turned small!

It turns out that the two ladies owning the peach aren’t the real owners. The owner is a boy named James. The ladies just wanted money so they charged per look.
The owner, James wanted revenge, so he asked his make one of his marvellous medicines to make the peach small again. George made a medicine and payed £2 pretending to have a look. When the ladies weren’t looking, George climbed up the peach and poured his medicine over it which made it small again. Not deterred, the ladies now have an attraction called “The peach that was once big”.

    1. Mr Eldridge

This is brilliant! It made me laugh 🙂

You’ve punctuated well, constructed your sentecnes well, and used ambitious vocabulary. Excellent Elen. One wish for next time, try to use some adverbs; how were the ladies looking? How did George climb the peach?

    Week 2
I have a brother called Evan who is 6 years old. We both like the same things but  sometimes we argue. One of the things we argue about is computer games and who goes on first. It is really annoying because we end up fighting and hurting each other. I would like to make peace with him because I would not get hurt. I think the best way to make peace would be to take it in turns to go first. We could also keep a record of who goes first each time so that we do not argue over whose turn it is.

  10. LouieIons

I want to make peace with my sister who is 7 because we agure . It doesn’t just affect me it affects every one .so I want to make peace with her so I’m going to say to her that we shouldn’t agure and that it affects every one so we should stop

  11. EvieWilliams

I have chosen to write about making peace with friends or family!

One day I fell out with my mum big time, we had a massive argument about homework because I didn’t really want to do it! So I wanted to make peace… so what I did was calmed myself down and then I went over to my mum as she was sitting on the sofa being all stroppy and angry with me but I still went over there to say sorry and to have a little hug with her and to make peace! It’s always important to make peace with someone other wise you might be all sad and lonely inside!!

    (not a true story)

    1. Mr Eldridge

Well written Evie. I like how you’ve finished it in brackets, i was starting to think it was about this piece 🙂

I’m glad you recognise that peace is the best solution, very mature of you.

Could you copy and paste this sentence and use punctuation within it?:
So I wanted to make peace… so what I did was calmed myself down and then I went over to my mum as she was sitting on the sofa being all stroppy and angry with me but I still went over there to say sorry and to have a little hug with her and to make peace!

  12. JamesIstance

I will try and make peace with my brother sometimes I fall out with him because he sometimes flicks my ear so annoying!!!!!!. This aggravates me and rages my temper. Sometimes he looks over my shoulder when I’m reading a book. This makes me really annoyed and I shout bad words at him. I will try to make peace by talking to him calmly and being more patience with him.

    1. Mr Eldridge

Maybe it’s not you that needs to be patient if he is the one flicking your ear, maybe Will might need to think about his actions 🙂

You’ve used some good vocabulary here. You have missed some punctuation in places, could you check it please.

  13. EunLee

I live in Afghanistan and I don’t like it here. The land is not safe and we are one of the worst countries, what I mean is that we don’t have enough food, children get hurt and try to fight, soldiers are everywhere, people attack us and my father is in the army I’m worried about him. I think I need peace for a day or two or maybe one day. Why can’t we do it? I don’t want to stay in my country and I want enough food like other countries. My sister is very ill and my brother has broken his leg and my mum is very tired every day so I don’t like it here. I really want peace and stop wars.

    1. Mr Eldridge

A tragic piece of writing, but real for millions of people around the world. Many questions to be asked and nobody has answers.

      Well written Joy.

  14. HaneefahBackus

    homework week two

It seems forever I have been struggling to survive, with no food, my father is dead, no blanket to sleep. Sometimes I wonder if Allah will help make peace, I wonder if the people bombing us even had a heart, I wonder if they would even care if it was their family. I may only be 10 but in the future can try to make a difference ,but, why do you think I think that?…….well……. ‘Because it always seems impossible until its done’ – written by a girl from Syria

    1. Mr Eldridge

Well written Haneefah. Similar to Joy’s piece, so many questions and no answers. An excellent quote at the end.

You’ve punctuated this well and constructed your sentences well. Very maturely written.
