Radyr & Morganstown May Festival

Due to the current restrictions, and the probability that we will not be able to hold gatherings of any reasonable number of people by May, the RMA and the Festival Committee have decided this year’s R&M Festival will be in two parts.

A Mini-Festival will be held in May where events will be held online. This will be held between 1 and 9 May 2021.

It is hoped that a larger Festival will be held in September between 11 and 25 when it is hoped that enough restrictions will have been removed so that both outdoor and indoor events can be held.

Tenovus will continue to be the community charity until the Festival ends on 25 September when a new charity will take over in time for the Christmas Light switch on. If you would like to donate to Tenovus before the next Festival Event then you can do so through the JustGiving page in the name of the Radyr Friends of Tenovus to help add to the annual total.

At school we will continue to hold the usual Art and Literary Competition. There will also be a photography competition and a colouring competition for the children to take part in at home.

This year’s theme will be Animal Life in Radyr and Morganstown so this will be an opportunity to make the most of the outdoors and hopefully the spring/summer weather! The closing date for the colouring competition is 4pm Wednesday 5th May.

Completed colouring should be returning to class teachers by this date. Outlines can be downloaded from the school website.
