Teacher - Miss L McManus (Miss Mac)     Teaching Assistant - Mrs T Bennetts

I hope you all had a festive and restful Christmas Break. I am so excited to start 2024 with you at Bryn Deri. I am delighted to join Blwyddyn Un/Year One. I have lots of experience working in Progression Steps 1 and 2 and I am and so excited to join the Bryn Deri Team!

In the upcoming year, there will be ample opportunities for learning and skill development. Engaging in various projects throughout the year will enable you to acquire numerous new skills, expanding your knowledge and understanding in these areas and connecting them as closely as possible to real-life situations.

While the primary emphasis will be on Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital Competency, we aim to enhance and broaden your knowledge through diverse activities and visits that delve into the six areas of learning (AoLE):

  • Languages, Literacy and Communication
  • Mathematics and Numeracy
  • Science and Technology
  • Humanities
  • Expressive Arts
  • Health and Well-being

We can't wait to hear all your incredible ideas through your pupil voice! We want to make sure your learning in every subject is super fun and relates to YOU. Our mission is to help each one of you become:

  • Ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout your lives
  • Healthy, confident individuals ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society
  • Ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world
  • Enterprising, creative contributors ready to play a full part in life and work

Please see below for each terms 'Welcome Letter' to find out more about what we will be learning.

Diolch, Thank you,

Miss Mac and Mrs Bennetts.
