National Awards

Third Millennium Learning Award:

Following an extensive external assessment we were very pleased to have been awarded the prestigious Third Millennium Learning Award by NAACE. This government funded body is responsible for promoting the use of ICT in Britain’s schools and colleges and engaging pupils in their learning in innovative ways. The award recognises the school’s success in developing the strategic use of ICT. It recognises the schools commitment to developing pupils as enterprising creative contributors and ambitious capable learners.

Eco Schools Award:

The school was been awarded the prestigious Platinum ECO Flag from the Countryside Council for Wales to recognise our achievement in working towards a sustainable lifestyle in July 2016 and again in July 2019. The award recognises the success of the school in developing ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world and the schools commitment to the sustainability of the planet.

National Digital Learning Awards:

The Year 5 class of 2014-15 entered the National Digital Learning Awards with their project 'Scratching the surface'. This project involved researching the games market, planning their own game, developing and creating it, and then allowing the Foundation Phase to play their games. After being shortlisted for the category 'Innovative use of Technology' they were delighted to receive the winning awards. Take a look at the hwb page explaining what the project was all about. Included on this page are links to 2 videos.
